英格兰旧都Winchester 归隐的小镇生活

　　一、历史遗迹

　　Winchester的历史可以追溯到2000年前。


　　曾是荒无人烟的山丘。公元43年被罗马帝国侵略并统治了数个世纪。直至阿佛列大帝成为英格兰盎格鲁-撒克逊时期的国王。他也是英国历史上真正第一位称呼自己为“英格兰国王”的君主。由于其英勇的统帅臣民对抗北欧维京海盗民族的入侵，被后世尊称为阿佛列大帝（ King Alfred the Great）。

　　之前对英国历史一知半解的我们，在Winchester City Museum被博物馆管理员特别‘教育’了一番。


　　首先，他问我们来自哪儿。我们说伦敦。他十分不屑地说道“伦敦是法国人建立的首都”。这里——Winchester才是英格兰的真正首都！”


　　随后他不厌其烦地向我们介绍Winchester的历史。（顺道地，连中国北京的历史也讲了一通）


　　遇到这样能说会道的地道的‘英国人’，也算这次旅途中的一大收获。呵呵。


　　好了，让我们从博物馆开始追寻Winchester的历史。

　　博物馆旁的一片绿地上屹立着英国最古老的大教堂——Winchester Cathedral。（由于看多了教堂，所以没有花钱进去的说）

　　从教堂的侧翼回廊穿出，一路经过几处可爱的小房子，顺着指示牌来到了免费开放的Wolvesey Castle。


　　虽然是残垣断壁，但却古朴肃静。游客在此也不敢大声喧哗（谈情说爱的就不少，呵呵）

　　The Westgate是罗马时代遗留下的古城门。斑驳中见证着古罗马的辉煌。

　　Winchester Guildhall亦有137年的历史，气宇非凡。

　　还有Kind Aurthur的圆桌、Hospital of St Cross和Winchester学院等建筑，这次无缘踏访。


　　看来要在短短不到一天之内体验Winchester2000多年的历史还是有点难啊。


　　二、小镇石屋


　　Winchester虽然被封为城市（City），但那是因为她拥有超过百年以上的大教堂。从城市规模和城市建筑风格来说，她更像一个小镇————小桥流水人家的感觉。


　　一座座的石头房子，有的气派，有的简朴，但都很可爱。有些房子让我联想到O2最近打宽带网的平面广告————也是一些很可爱，外型像笑脸的房子。


　　那么就不多说了。读图时代，当然是看图说话啦。


　　首先映入眼帘的是大教堂的商店。一个由很多粉红色牵牛花装饰的平房。

　　大教堂背后的几处房子，宁静得让人怀疑是否无人居住？

　　旁边的这栋别墅可就不一般了。门前的草坪，屋顶的曲线，灯下的单车……


　　到底什么样的人住在这儿呢？

　　顺着别墅门前的大路接着走，没一分钟便来到一处‘茅舍’。很别致，像瑞士的房子。

　　连门前的收信口都这么古朴有质。

　　屋前的一棵大树下，一朵紫色的小花孤芳自赏。

　　穿过一道石门，转个弯看到一处很简单的淡黄色flat——这就是Jane Austin晚年的住所。

　　接着往前行，一个男孩从一个石屋里走出来。总算见到是真有人住啦。

　　石屋的背后，连着一片更广阔的草地，坐落着一栋‘豪宅’，就在城堡遗址的隔壁。

　　从城堡外的小路走出去，来到河边。河畔的住家前，黄色的玫瑰花正在盛开。

　　沿路上坡，树阴下的房子，还有彩色的门，装点着街道两旁。

　　我们在上坡上的一个名叫Black Boy的酒吧小憩。

　　酒吧后院的草丛中有两个小矮人，别具匠心。

　　酒吧内的也装饰十分有趣。有悬挂的小酒瓶、烟斗、钥匙等等。

　　酒吧的对面似乎也是个酒吧，三个茅草棚子很有热带风情。

　　离开酒吧，在一个十字路口，看到一处跟O2广告中的笑脸房子很像的一栋flat。

　　墙角，一朵火红的罂粟悄悄绽放，然后渐渐枯萎……

　　在向St. Giles Hills进发的路上，两旁的房子错落有致。

　　下山的路上，接近山脚，又见到一处O2广告风格的房子。

　　下山后，兜了一个圈，来到河的另一边。河边的房子，地基不知打在哪儿？

　　河边的City Mill，是历史悠久的作坊，现在则是博物馆。

　　再前面没几步，是一个公园。公园里的砖红色房子在阳光下十分耀眼。

　　房前，黄色的玫瑰花，紫色的熏衣草，橙色的小雏菊，争齐斗艳。

　　公园外侧，铁门上的石狮和城堡尽显有贵族风范。

　　离开公园，再向前回到high street。连全英连锁的Ask餐吧的房子在Winchester都如此别致。

　　三、生活方式在Winchester生活，看似漫不经心，但却十分有品质。这就是大都市和小城镇的区别。没有浮华喧嚣，有的却是祥和、浪漫，享受生活。Living a healthy lifestyle, living your dreams!曾几何时，年迈的你忘记了年轻时捧着花迎接伴侣的那份期盼……
